Join us on August 17, 2025, for Garvey Day, an annual celebration honoring the life and legacy of Marcus Garvey and the global contributions of the African diaspora. Officially recognized by the Boston City Council, this vibrant community event features live performances, local vendors, and a powerful keynote address.
This year, we are proud to welcome Dr. Jemima Pierre as our keynote speaker. A distinguished scholar and professor of African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of British Columbia, Dr. Pierre brings deep insight into race, migration, and the politics of knowledge across the African world. She will be the first woman to headline Garvey Day, marking a historic moment for the event.
